Eden Lake Dvd Cover

The fonts used are big and bold so for this reason they stand out and catch the eye of the buyer. The red writting also strands out against the dark background and sometimes red symbolises envy and in this case blood. The setting is given away that it will be set n th woods, woods are usually seen as dark scary places when the light can not come through the tree tops so this is a well chosen setting for the film. The way in which the women character is dirty and hiding shows that this film will be scary and revieals to the viewer that something bad it going to happen to this character. Silhouettes are used to show the other characters in the background this gives a mysterious and scary affect as there identities are unknown. Again as in most of the front covers the producer has chosen to put a quote on the front cover to try and present the film as a really good film which other reviewers have said about it. Eden lake it a aged 18 film rating so this lowers the amount of people who can view the film but hits a large adult target market who enjoy scary thrillers.
